Ms. McCall is a well-known sought-after spiritual medium. Ms. McCall will do private readings in a “gallery” setting to facilitate communication with loved ones beyond the veil. Due to the audience size at our UBTS event, not everybody will get a personal reading. However, Ms. McCall can be booked for private readings separately.

Her event at UBTS is capped at 50 people and is likely to sell out.

Catherine McCall is an intuitive, spiritual medium, healer, mentor, and teacher. She became aware of the presence of Spirit at a very early age. As a child she felt loved ones in Heaven surrounding her and speaking to her at night. She would have very vivid dreams of events that later happened exactly how she saw them. Even as a child she knew that many of the dreams were insights and messages she was meant to pass on. Let us rejoice that the season of light has begun! The five-day celebration of Diwali, the Festival of Lights, was observed by Hindus across the globe from November 12th to November 16th which kicked off the season of light. The celebration of Diwali symbolizes the spiritual victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance.
Hanukkah also known as the Festival of Lights commences on the evening of December 7th and ends on the evening of December 15th. Our Jewish friends around the world commemorate the recovery of Jerusalem and the rededication of the Second Temple at the beginning of the Maccabean revolt against the Seleucid Empire in the second century. Within the Holy Temple was a menorah and only enough oil to light it for one day. It is believed that a miracle happened when it burned for eight days. The lighting of the menorah during each day of Hanukkah symbolizes the renewal of faith in the miracle of light.
Kwanzaa is a seven-day festival in which African and African American history, heritage, and culture is exalted. The term Kwanzaa means the first fruits of the harvest. Kwanzaa will be observed from December 26th through January 1st of 2024. On each day of this celebration, a candle is lit to highlight one of seven moral principles. The principles are also brought to life by reciting literature and philosophy of great black thinkers and writers, by participating in African drumming, singing, and dancing, and by sharing a meal of African diaspora-inspired foods.
Across the world Christmas will be observed by Christians on December 25th. Although the birth of Jesus, a spiritual teacher, healer, and ascended master, is celebrated on this day, the Christmas birth metaphysically means the dawning of the light of awareness of our own Divine Nature. By following the Star of Bethlehem, our spiritually illumined inner guidance, we are born anew each time we more powerfully express our Divine Potential.
The festive activity of lighting candles and adorning our trees, homes, and other structures with light reminds us of the beauty and radiance of the light that we are. As we embrace our cultural and religious traditions during this season of light, let us vow to find creative and joyous ways to be the light in this world.

Dear Friends,

The countdown begins! Only 16 more days until our Holiday Celebration of Musical Joy concert.

Our musical performers include Lizz Berkowitz and Patrice DeVincentis from Let’s Be Frank, Ben Wilton, and Renee, Jim, and Jameson Green. I would like to thank Patrice DeVincetis for her support of our musicians.

The Holiday Celebration of Musical Joy can be attended in person or via the Zoom platform. If you will be joining us via Zoom, you will receive a Sunday service Zoom Link email notification as you are accustomed to receiving each week.

I invite you to wear your Christmas PJs or a festive sweater to the concert. Several prizes will be awarded to those who dare to be creatively festive. Additionally, there will be a special guest appearance from Santa.

The Holiday Celebration of Musical Joy is a gift to you from Unity by the Shore’s Board of Trustees as an expression of our love and appreciation for our precious community.

Sound Healing Sunday

This experience will be offered in person by Aryelle Morgan at Unity by the Shore and will be streamed via our Zoom platform.  For in-person attendees, you are welcome to bring a yoga mat, pillows, and/or blankets to this service.  An open space will be provided for you at UBTS; for those joining from home, we suggest you arrange your space and technology accordingly. Those wishing to remain seated in a chair are welcome to do so as well.

Dear Friends,

I understand that we all have busy lives and often our weekends are filled with family, leisure, events, and preparation for the upcoming week.  Although our lives are full, and we have the convenience of accessing everything for our devices, I believe there is value in connecting with members and friends of Unity by the Shore from time to time.

Commencing October 29th, I would like to institute Fellowship Sunday.  One Sunday of each month will be selected for us to carve out time for one another after the Sunday service to commune with each other.  Local people I invite you to come in person to our service that Sunday and bring a small plate of food to share.  For those who live a distance or cannot attend in person, I invite you to get a cup of tea or coffee and a treat and stay for some Zoom fellowship after the service.

The power of community is built on cultivating relationships.  I invite you to connect with old friends and to also open yourself up to introducing yourself to members and friends you do not know.

In the words of Caroline Myss, “There is no such thing as a simple act of compassion or an inconsequential act of service. Everything we do for another person has infinite consequences.”  Your compassionate and welcoming presence matters. Never underestimate the power of a smile, of listening, and sharing kind and inspiring words with another.  Through the years, I have heard stories of how the welcoming and compassionate presence of one person or a few people from our beloved community had such an impact in their lives.  Let us continue to pay this forward to those who are newly discovering Unity by The Shore and to familiar friends.
