Unity by the Shore has partnered with Center For Family Services to join the movement to reunite children with their family.

Children can find comfort and care when they need it most. Center For Family Services has a 40 year history providing shelter for children in need of a safe place to live. In the last year, Center For Family Services expanded their housing services to provide safety to vulnerable children who crossed the southern border into the United States.

Most of these boys and girls entered our country in search of safety and a better life. They traveled many miles, fleeing violence, abuse, trauma, and neglect.

Center For Family Services provides a safe home for these children. Brothers and sisters have reunited. Moms and their babies have found safety. Sibling groups have remained together, and children have been reunited with their families.

Center For Family Services emphasizes physical, psychological and emotional safety and help each child rebuild a sense of control in their lives.

A welcoming home environment supports the healing process. Each child is linked with a caring and highly trained bi-lingual caseworker upon arrival. They are offered a warm meal, new clothes, and a shower. Within the first few days, children receive a medical examination and appropriate vaccinations.

Caseworkers immediately initiate the reunification process. Services are focused on the specific needs of each individual child and include comprehensive assessments, case management, therapeutic counseling, education, recreation, court accompaniment, and assistance with locating an eligible sponsor or family member.

This year, the Eastern Region Fall C.A.R.E. Conference will take place in beautiful Charlottesville, Virginia, in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The host ministry, Unity of Charlottesville, joins the Fall Conference Planning Team and the Eastern Region Board of Trustees in inviting you to the 2018 Eastern Region Fall C.A.R.E. Conference! We are pleased to share a program of events and activities with a strong Unity core as well as new approaches to connection, alignment, renewal and enrichment.

Unity by the Shore is proud to once again participate in

NJ’s 27^th Annual LGBTQ Pride Celebration

Sunday, June 3, 2018   12:00 pm – 7:00 pm

in front of Convention Hall in Asbury Park

We are excited to be hosting a table at the festival!

Join us in the celebration or volunteer to be on the UBTS Festival Team. 

We will be meeting this Sunday, May 13 after the Service at 12:15 pm to discuss details.

Over the last few days, individuals all over our nation and the world have watched footage of the calamitous effects of Hurricane Harvey as it ripped through Houston, Texas and surrounding towns. Countless numbers of individuals and families have been forced to evacuate their homes and vehicles as floodwaters inundated streets, homes, businesses, churches, and medical clinics.

When floodwaters finally recede, the residents of Houston will be faced with the devastating and overwhelming task of rebuilding their homes and businesses, as well as, their lives. Unity by the Shore is accepting monetary donations that will be sent directly to our sister organization, on the ground in Texas – Unity of Houston. The leadership team of Unity of Houston will distribute funds directly to individuals and families in need of basic necessities and to those who need help to rebuild their homes.
