Experience the magic of an authentic 160-year-old handcrafted photography process, and take home an heirloom that you’ll treasure for a lifetime.
Wet plate photography is an entirely handmade process with origins dating back to the 1850s. Metal or glass-plate negatives are sensitized, exposed, and developed on-site using a portable darkroom. It’s art, science, and magic rolled up into one medium.
Native New Yorker and veteran photographer, Justin Borucki, has been photographing music and celebrity culture for major publications and record labels since 1994. Justin recently returned to his darkroom roots with his wet plate street photography and pop-up portrait studio in NYC.
