A Forty Day Journey of Empowerment

Fasting is a practice engaged in by individuals from all Spiritual and Faith Traditions around the world.  The centuries-old practice of fasting is a ritual of cleansing.  Cleansing one’s physical, mental, and emotional aspects of being from that which is dis-empowering.

Forty days of fasting is a theme that recurs throughout the Hebrew and Christian Scriptures.  Forty metaphysically represents completeness.  Symbolically speaking it represents a period of time individuals devote to identifying what self-limiting beliefs, thoughts, and behavior are weighing them down and preventing them from living from their Divine Authority.

February 14, 2024, marks the beginning of the Lenten season which is observed by many Christian Faith communities worldwide.  During the forty days leading up to Easter, the awakening to spiritual consciousness, many individuals engage in spiritual reflection, affirmative prayer, and meditation to awaken and be transformed. 

New Thought communities like UBTS invite individuals of all faith traditions into a forty-day journey of spiritual empowerment.  During the forty days individuals prepare for a rebirth of new life, a transformation of consciousness, by identifying and disengaging from beliefs, thoughts, and behaviors that are dis-empowering.  Centered in the Power of Elimination, individuals prepare the way for them to boldly claim and embody in belief, thought, and action, their Divine Light.

I invite you to join me in a reflective ceremony where you will have an opportunity to make a commitment to relinquish your energy from dis-empowering thoughts and behaviors, affirm Truth, and select a Spiritual Power or more to consciously embody for the next 40 days.  I invite you to bring a dab of oil with you to this service, for it will be used to anoint your forehead, your third eye.

This experience will be offered in person by Aryelle Alysha at Unity by the Shore and will be streamed via our Zoom platform.  For in-person attendees, you are welcome to bring a yoga mat, pillows, and/or blankets to this service.  An open space will be provided for you at UBTS; for those joining from home, we suggest you arrange your space and technology accordingly. Those wishing to remain seated in a chair are welcome to do so as well.

Dear Precious Friends,

I am thrilled to report that our 2023 Annual Fundraiser was a big success!  In the history of UBTS it stands as the highest amount received from a single fundraiser to date.  Our final total raised will be shared at our Business Meeting on January 14th at 12:30 PM. 

Paula Benanti was the lucky recipient of our Harry and David Gift Basket valued at $150.  Out of her generosity of spirit, Paula chose to tithe the money for the basket back to Unity by the Shore.  Thank you, Paula!

From the bottom of my heart, I thank each person and organization who contributed to our Annual Fundraiser.  I also would like to thank the Finance Team and the Fundraising Teams for their sacred service.  Kerstin McKitrick is the chair of both our Finance Team and Fundraising Team, and she has done a mighty work.  Kerstin, I am grateful for your generous spirit of possibility!

Catherine McCall is an intuitive, spiritual medium, healer, mentor, and teacher. She became aware of the presence of Spirit at a very early age. ABOUT CHARLIE’S JOURNEY:

A number of years ago, Charlie did a workshop at a Woodcraft store in Allentown Pennsylvania. It was about making pens (surprise, surprise). He was able to plan, learn, execute, and complete a pen in one session. He’s not always great about completing projects so this was an amazing experience for him.

When the time was right, he dove in and bought a lathe, tools, grinder for sharpening the tools, and a few other things to support his journey.

Although Charlie has made dozens and dozens of pens, he makes a number of other things as well. Most of the things he has made have been gifts to his family for Christmas. He loves coming up with the next idea of not only what he wants to make, but how he’s going to do it. Some of the things Charlie has made are jewelry items, peppermills, tea light holders, kaleidoscopes, ice cream scoops and pizza cutters.

When Charlie gets down in his workshop, it’s his own little universe. He is totally focused on what he’s doing and creating. Each and everything Charlie makes is a unique expression of creation.

If you see one of the pens, but you would like something a little different, or maybe multiples of it, please contact Charlie directly at: [email protected] and he will see what can be done. It usually takes about a week just to get more supplies so it’s not an overnight thing.
