Learning How to Overcome Fear: New Sunday Series Begins September 28th. The series is based on the work of Don Miguel Ruiz Jr.:
The Poisoned Arrow explores how fear acts like a poison in our lives: wounds (the “arrow”) may heal, but the fear they leave behind (the “poison”) continues to shape our thoughts, beliefs, behaviors, and the stories we tell ourselves. Using Toltec wisdom, the book guides readers to recognize fear’s influence, uproot the mental agreements and narratives that trap them, and move toward a life grounded in peace, authenticity, love, and courage.
Ruiz Jr. draws on parable, personal reflection, and Toltec spiritual teachings to show that much of our suffering comes not from external events themselves, but from the interpretations, assumptions, and stories spun out of those events—and especially from fear. The path toward freedom involves becoming aware of those stories, choosing different ones, making peace with uncertainty, and cultivating faith and unconditional love.
