About Sharon Bousquet:
Sharon is a professional independent singer-songwriter and guitarist who has recorded seven albums of her original music and performs around the country. For over 20 years, Sharon has been the facilitator for a self-expression class called The Singing Body. The Singing Body combines yoga, singing, breathing and movements that integrate the brain (educational kinesiology/ E-K) into a system for freer self-expression in all things, with a focus on the voice.
About Sharon’s Work:
The Singing Body is for singers and for those who have always wanted to sing. An excellent choice for those with trauma surrounding self-expression, this work creates a safe space to move beyond limitations set by your history, not your present. It is an effective routine for freer self-expression and self-acceptance, offering tools to sing without fear. The critical voices in our heads are silenced so we can just sing and be our natural, unfettered selves.
What to bring: a yoga mat, a blanket for doing floor work when our temps can drop, and a bottle of water. I will provide refills and a snack. Please eat lightly or early, as this class is best done without a full belly.
