Message from the President
I love this time of year as everything has made its transformation
and
new growth appears everywhere. We here at UCBTS have wonderful color
surrounding our building due to the efforts of our awesome Building
and Grounds Ministry Team led by Sandi Robertson. Their dedication to
the beautification of our spiritual home and planting over 360 bulbs,
which are now in full bloom, has made such a huge difference. Thank
you to everyone who participated.
Furthermore, our ongoing wish to have expanded parking has
become a reality. We are so grateful for William Guzzy and his
company, Community Painting, for completing this project. We now have
packed stone adding more than 16 parking spaces to our existing lot.
All of this and many other efforts of numerous volunteers were
strategically planned just in time for the wonderful ordination
ceremony and celebration we had for Rev Joanne on April 25th. Over
100 friends and family attended this joyous moment as we honored her
journey of faith, courage, and determination. We are so very Blessed!!
I want to share with you that the Board of Trustees attended a
board training session with Rev. Pat Bessey from the Association of
Unity Churches the weekend of April 16th. We continue to reach new
levels, and training sessions assist us in expanding our knowledge to
achieve new goals. We are joyful stewards of God and serve our
beloved UCBTS with love.
Our series of events highlighting each of our core values has
truly been an awakening experience over the past several months. As we
celebrate our core value of Service through May 16th, I encourage
everyone to enthusiastically volunteer their time, talents, and
treasures. Allow yourself to walk through your day as an angel in
service and experience the power of love.
Please join us on Sunday, May 16th, for our mid-year
Congregational Meeting after the service. This is an opportunity for
the Board to share the upcoming events of the church and review what
our Ministry Teams are doing.
Abundant Blessings,
James S. McKenzie
